Beth Hassett

Early Childhood Educators

Beth Hasset joined the BELA team as a substitute Early Childhood Educator & Assistant in 2017 and officially joined the team in a permanent position in 2018. Beth brings with her a wealth of experience in early childhood education, preschool and daycare. She obtained her Education Assistant Certificate and Early Childhood Development Diploma from Medicine Hat College in 2002 and has worked with children from 18 months to 12 years. Beth has an innate ability to bond with the children she works with, creating trust and offering them comfort and encouragement. She has experience working with children with cerebral palsy, down syndrome, fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and autism spectrum disorder. While Beth has worn many hats at BELA, she has found her passion focusing on speech and language development with our students. Beth has been in the role of Speech and Language Assistant for a couple of years now and is pursuing her Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant diploma at Medicine Hat college! Beth works closely with both our Director of Education & Programming and our Speech Pathologist to support our students. We feel very fortunate to have such a dedicated and knowledgeable Educator as a part of our team!
